Make learning numbers fun with our colourful Let's Learn to Count Activity Cards!
Designed to support children as they begin their maths journey, these printable activity cards encourage little learners to recognise numbers, practise counting, explore quantities and develop their number formation through playful, hands-on learning.
Each card features four engaging activities, helping children build confidence as they develop their early number skills.
What's included?
20 beautifully illustrated number activity cards (1–20)
Four engaging maths activities on every card
Counting activities to develop one-to-one correspondence
Ten frames to explore quantity and number relationships
Number formation guides to support early writing
A handy information sheet explaining how to use the cards
Learning through play
Each card follows four simple steps:
Say it: Look at the number and say it aloud. Can your child recognise the numeral? Where else might they see this number?
Count it: Count the colourful dots, pointing to each one as you say the numbers aloud to develop accurate counting and one-to-one correspondence.
Make it: Use pom poms, counters, playdough or other small objects to represent the number on the ten frames, helping children explore quantity and understand how numbers are made.
Write it: Follow the dotted number formation guides to practise writing each numeral correctly. Can your child then have a go independently?
These playful activities help develop number recognition, counting confidence, an understanding of quantity and early number formation skills.
Perfect for preschool and Reception children exploring numbers and developing their early maths skills, with opportunities to extend learning up to 20.
Top tip: Laminate your cards and use a whiteboard pen for the number formation activities so they can be wiped clean and enjoyed again and again!
