Each card features six engaging activities, helping children understand how two or three letters can work together to represent one sound, while developing their blending, reading and writing skills.

What's included?

  • 22 beautifully illustrated phonics activity cards

  • Six engaging activities on every card

  • Colourful letter characters to support sound recognition

  • Picture challenges to identify sounds in words

  • Blending activities to practise reading words

  • Letter formation guides to support early writing

  • A handy information sheet explaining how to use the cards

Learning through play

Each card follows six simple steps:

  • Sound it: Look at the letters together and say the sound they represent. Help your child understand that two or three letters can work together to make one sound.

  • Name it: Name each individual letter within the digraph or trigraph, helping children distinguish between letter names and sounds.

  • Find it: Look carefully at the illustrations and find the picture containing the target sound. Can your child hear the sound at the beginning, middle or end of the word?

  • Blend it: Add sound buttons underneath the words, using dots for single-letter sounds and dashes for digraphs and trigraphs. Say each sound and blend them together to read the word.

  • Trace it: Follow the letter formation guides to practise writing each letter correctly.

  • Write it: Have a go at writing the digraph or trigraph independently. For an extra challenge, can your child write a whole word containing that sound?

These playful activities help children develop phonemic awareness, recognise digraphs and trigraphs, practise blending and build confidence with early reading and writing.

Please note: This is a digital download containing 22 printable activity cards and an information sheet. No physical product will be posted. Once purchased, you'll receive a secure download link, which remains valid for 24 hours after your first download.
