  • Rocket templates to cut out and assemble

  • Easy-to-follow instructions to create your interactive number line

  • A handy activity guide with playful maths challenges for each number line

  • 5 printable pages of practical maths fun!

Learning through play

There are so many ways to use your rocket to explore numbers!

  • Count it: Move your rocket up and down the number line, counting forwards and backwards as you go.

  • Find it: Call out a number and challenge your child to move their rocket to the correct position.

  • One more, one less: Explore the numbers that come before and after a chosen number.

  • Add it: Blast your rocket forwards along the number line to solve simple addition problems.

  • Subtract it: Move your rocket backwards to practise subtraction.

  • Explore patterns: Use the 0–100 number line to count in tens, investigate ten more and ten less, and explore number relationships.

These playful activities help children develop number recognition, counting confidence, number sense and an understanding of early addition and subtraction.

Top tip: Stick your number line onto cardboard before assembling to make it extra sturdy! Use a piece of string to attach your rocket so it can slide freely up and down the number line, making maths a fun, interactive experience.

Please note: This is a digital download containing a 5-page printable PDF. You will need string, scissors, glue, sticky tape and cardboard to assemble your rocket number line. Adult supervision is required when making the holes for the string. No physical product will be posted. Once purchased, you'll receive a secure download link, which remains valid for 24 hours after your first download.
